Plant raspberries in early spring after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Loosen soil prior to planting. Remove plant from packaging and lightly loosen the bottom of the root ball to release the roots. Dig a hole in loosened soil as deep as the roots and about twice as wide. Be sure the hole is large enough to encompass the roots without bending them.  Place plant in hole with the roots down and the crown/top of the roots about 1″ below soil surface. Space plants 3’ apart in rows 6’ apart.  Cover with soil and water well so that the soil settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater. Allow 1 to 4 years for full growth.
