They are given a hand rubbed oil finish creating a rich color and satiny surface. The head is precision made from high carbon 440C stainless tool steel, which has excellent rust resistance, and weighs 3.4 ounces. It has a 29mm diameter face and is certified at 58 Rockwell hardness for maximum toughness and durability. It is laser engraved with the Nechamkin and Otto Frei Trademarks. Heads are manually fitted,to their handles, and fixed in place with a hand cut hardwood wedge,the old fashioned way. Store your hammer in its re-sealable plastic bag to protect it and keep it like new.
