It then flows into the outer chamber filled with K Media, where billions of beneficial bacteria break down ammonia and nitrite. When it’s time to clean, you can easily activate the waste valve and agitate the media using an air pump (included if Auto Kit is added) to flush out waste—no dismantling required.
